ÅhusStrand – Seaside Hotel & Conference facility. Seaside is the main word when to describe ÅhusStrand. The hotel is situated on the long beach between Åhus and Kivik, in the middle of Hanö Bay, on the east coast of southern Sweden. Our facility has 117 rooms with over 200 beds. We host conferences and meetings for up to 300 people, but we are also the first choice for couples and tourists visiting the region. We have three restaurants. In total we can serve 400 guests. Åhus is a medieval town, situated 150 km from the Danish capital Copenhagen and 100 km from the large Swedish town Malmö. In the summertime ÅhusStrand is the centre for the true summer resort Åhus. White beaches, sun swimming and dining and dancing all night long. Beautiful nature and the special light and scenery. The rest of the year ÅhusStrand is a creative conference facility. We are known for our local culinary efforts and our Ålagille in a fishermans hut by the sea. Ål is swedish for eel.The very rare and mysterious fish use the waters outside Åhus as one of its landmarks when navigating from the Sargasso sea. The tradition of eelfishing in Åhus is old and very unique. Åhus is also called the home of Absolut. The worldfamous global vodka brand has it´s heart in Åhus.” Only one source” as the company say themselfes. In coorporation with the famous Absolut company we present a unique activity : ”En Betraktelse om Absolut”. It´s a beautiful story about how a local product from a small countryvillage became the worlds brand and trade mark no 1. We behold the marketing, the ideas and the art. Our events Ålagille and Betraktelse om Absolut have earned the very rare nomination as international”world class event”. For that we are very, very proud. Our conference rooms are well designed and we have a dedicated staff that always goes for that little extra. All considerable equipment is available upon request.
